Blogging Utility for Mac OS X
This is a collection of utility you can use to improve your blogging experience on Mac OS X.
Using a weblog editor/client software allows you to post an entry right from your desktop without having to login into your weblog engine control panel.
MarsEdit
MarsEdit is a weblog editor for Mac OS X developed by Ranchero Software, the same company who developed NetNewsWire, the popular RSS newsreader.
MarsEdit 1.0 was released 10th December 2004 as a replacement for NetNewsWire weblog editor because the new version of NetNewsWire 2.0 (currently in public beta stage) does not come with a weblog editor.
MarsEdit is compatible with various blogging engine: Blosxom, Conversant, Manila, Movable Type, Radio UserLand, TypePad, WordPress, and others.
MarsEdit allows you to write your entry with external editor such as BBEdit, TextMate and subEthaEdit.
MarsEdit requires Mac OS X 10.3 or greater, and you can download the fully functional for 30 days demo version at MarsEdit’s website. The license cost $24.95 for a single user license or $19.95 if you buy two or more license.

Ecto
Ecto is also a weblog client but ecto is available both in Mac OS X and Windows. It supports many weblog systems: Blogger, Blojsom, Drupal, MovableType, Nucleus, TypePad, WordPress, and more.
Ecto allows you to post attachment such as photos or files from your hard drives to your blog.
Ecto cost $17.95 per license.

Photon
Photon, is a plugin for iPhoto to directly post photo to your photo log. This plugin is compatible with Movable Type, Wordpress, TypePad, and Blosjom.
Photon was updated to version 1.1 on 23 January 2005 with support to the iPhoto 5 from iLife 05 suite released by Apple in January 2005.
Photon is used by Douglas Bowman’s photo gallery, and how he setup MT and Photon.
This software is recommended to improve your photo blogging experience. It’s available for download from Daikini Software for free.
Recent Tunes
Have you ever seen a blog with lists of their recently played tunes? Recent Tunes is a freeware that stored lists of recently played iTunes songs.
It has the ability to upload the recent songs database via FTP, SSH1, and SSH2 or via a database via HTTP GET.
