SonyCentral
I visited the Sony Central located in the new WorldSquare shopping center. The reason for the visit is because I’m looking for a new mobile phone.
The new Sony Ericsson k750i is available in that shop, although the price is a bit more expensive than buying it off from eBay. I really need a new mobile phone, because mine is getting very old. It’s a samsung mobile phone with no lcd color screen, and has no camera.
I need a new one because the samsung one is almost dead. Sometimes the keypad are no longer working, so in order to press a number you have to press many times. There are times when I can’t pickup calls because the answer key doesn’t work. Sometimes I can’t even make calls because I can’t unlock the phone keypad. The only way to turn off the mobile phone when the key lock are on is to take off the battery.
The battery for this mobile phone is almost dead. It used to be able to run for 2 days on standby, now the battery is finish after 2 hours after recharge. I’m not even interested to replace the battery on this ancient time mobile phone.
I think I’m going to get the k750i, unless there is a mobile phone that is more “interesting” out there. Beside, Apple updated iSync 2.1 a few days ago and k750i is supported.
I also took the time to look around in the notebook section. The VAIO notebook is definitely one of the best notebook PC out there. If I’m ever in need of a notebook PC, I will definitely get the Sony VAIO. At the moment, I still prefer to the PowerBook with Mac OS X.
There is a display of the Sony Playstation Portable, also known as the PSP. The product is coming out in Australia this September (2005).
There are many other things in the shop, I didn’t have the time to explore it though. I had to leave the store and meet someone, but it was nice looking at those gadgets.

I’m using K700i which I bought in Indonesia about half a year ago. It’s much better version of the T610 which is a love and hate thing for me. I saw K750i from SE’s website, and I think it should be pretty similar to K700i. There’s nothing (yet) that I hate about K700i.
If you have a bigger budget and you don’t mind the extra size, I would recommend Palm Tréo 650. I’ve always wanted that, but my budget didn’t permit it. Hehehe.
I used to use a Sony VAIO z505, very thin and light, a slick laptop. Very nice. Only beaten by Toshiba Portégé R100 in the PC world. But my next laptop will be a Mac, not question about it.

Ronny, the Palm Treo looks huge and my budget doesn’t permit it either, hehe.
Yeah, make the switch bro!
