gVisit - track your website visitor using google maps

wpram.com gvisit statistics

gVisit.com allows you to visually track visitors of your website using google maps. gVisit is not affiliated to google. The service is a great example on how you can use the Google Maps API

It’s very simple to use this service on your site. Here’s how I did it.

  1. Register your site on gVisit
  2. Copy and paste the code to your site, if you are a movable type user then add them to your blog templates and rebuilt the site.
  3. You’ll be given a URL to track your visitor

Tigergotchi

Tigergotchi

Tigergotchi is a virtual dashboard tiger, which is in need for some water, food and love. When you provide your tiger with enough of those ingredients, he will be happy and last a long time on your dashboard. The image of the tiger will change with his degree of hapiness: waving his tail and blinking his eyes when he is happy, but when hungry or thirsty his ribs will show up and he will start putting his tongue out.

This dashboard widget function like tamagotchi, the handheld virtual pet that was so popular before. My tiger died three times today because I forgot to feed it. Visit the site »

Ubuntu Linux Shipit

I’ve heard so much about Ubuntu Linux during the past few months and I decided to give it a try. I downloaded the ISO image for the LiveCD and play around with it on my PC.

I decided to order the Ubuntu CD from the ubuntu team so I could give them out to friends and family. I ordered 5 PowerPC Ubuntu CD, and 5 x86 CDs. Each package comes with two CDs. The LiveCD allows you to run Ubuntu Linux from your CD-ROM without installing it to your hard drives. The install CD is for all of you who enjoyed running Ubuntu and decided you want to install it on your hard drives.

Looks very professional doesn’t it? They are very generous people for giving a way free CDs like this. I’m going to give the CD away to people who are interested in trying Linux.

Wait for my next entry installing Ubuntu on a PC.

Apple Mighty Mouse

Apple just released a new mouse called Mighty Mouse. The design is cool.

This is a one button mouse with a touch-sensitive technology under the top shell of the mouse. It can detect where you’re clicking transforming this one-button mouse into a two-button mouse.

There is also two buttons on either side of the mouse that let you squeeze the mouse between your thumb and finger to activate Dashboard, Expose, or a other things (programmable).

The only problem I have with this mouse is it’s not wireless. It’s a usb mouse..
