Daily Blog Posting del.icio.us to Movable Type
I have been using del.icio.us to bookmark and share interesting web pages I found on the web. I used to use Movable Type to create a quicklink blog on this blog, but if you notice it, it hasn’t been updated for a very long time. Yesterday, I decided to remove my quicklink blog and replace it with del.icio.us.
Setting up del.icio.us daily blog posting is very easy. First, you need to login into your account and go to http://del.icio.us/settings/username/daily. You can now *add a new thingy*.
You need to enter the following settings into the form:
job_name: Movable Type Daily (or any title you want)
out_name: Your MT username.
out_pass: your mt password.
out_url: mt-xmlrpc.cgi
out_time: What hour you want to post (GMT)
out_blog_id: 1
out_cat_id: 48
The value of out_blog_id and out_cat_id is only an example. To find out your blog id you need to look at the blog_id field within the query string of mt.cgi when you login into mt. Example: mt.cgi?__mode=menu&blog_id=1.
out_cat_id is the id number of the category del.icio.us will post the daily links into. Create a new category or use a current one. Once again you need to look at the URL of your category info to find out the id. Example: mt.cgi?__mode=view&_type=category&blog_id=1&id=48.
You can now start posting to your del.icio.us account and wait until del.icio.us post into your blog. My previous entry was the result of del.icio.us daily blog posting.
I also included my del.icio.us tags into categories archives page.

Installing Windows unattended
MSFN got a definitive how-to guide to install Microsoft Windows unattended. This HOWTO will guide you to create a windows CD that would install Windows by automatically putting in your name, product key, timezone, regional setting, slipstream services pack, installing essential applications such as DirectX 9.0c, .Net Framework 1.1 and then all the required hotfixes, updated drivers, registry tweaks, and a readily patched UXTheme.dll.
In short, this is a guide to install Windows without having to sit in front of the PC and go through the wizard. You can just install and leave the computer. Read the HOWTO guide on Unattended Windows.
