iMac Intel vs iMac G5 booting

Watch a video of both iMac Intel and iMac G5 booting. The one on the left is the iMac Intel, it took 40 seconds for the iMac Intel to boot. It took 98 seconds for the iMac G5 to boot. The specification for the iMac Intel is Duo Core 2.0 GHz, while the G5 is a 2.1 GHz PowerPC G5.

Of course the iMacintel should boot faster. It uses a dual core processor! I mean, you should compare it to a dual G5 and then it would be fair :)

The G5 in that video is a dog. My G5 boots only 2 seconds slower than Intel iMac. http://silvermac.com/blog/archives/58

I know iMac Intel is faster but wouldn’t it be nice to know how much faster the iMac intel compare to the PowerPC? It’s a new technology, people are curious..
