MacBook Pro pre-ordered
I’m anxiously waiting for my new MacBook Pro 2.0 GHz, 2GB RAM, and 100 GB @ 7200 rpm HD. I pre-ordered it last week because my current computer is dead (That explains the lack of updates on this blog).
At first I was quite reluctant to buy a MacBook Pro because there were several issues reported, but I needed a new laptop badly. Some of the reported issues are heat dissipation, Airport wireless not waking up from sleep, whining noise and flickering issues with the LCD panel.
The good news is Apple has already started addressing the issues. A new MacBook Pro “Revision D” with serial numbers beginning with W8611, already have many issues addressed and improved, the above mentioned problems had been fix. Information via DailyTech: Apple addresses MacBook Pro issues.
To check the serial number of your Mac, go to the Apple Menu on top-left corner, choose about this Mac, and then double click on the software serial number (Example: 10.4.6). You should be able to find your serial number.
People who received their MacBook Pro last week already received the “Revision D” version, so my MacBook Pro which is expected to arrive next week should be the Rev D. I will write a detailed review on MacBook Pro when it arrived.
